Alba Rec. Center Children's Cooking Class

CD9 and LAPD Newton Division's Police Athletic & Activities League sponsor RootDown LA to bring cooking and nutrition classes to youth who attend programs at the Alba Rec. Center in the Pueblo Del Rio housing development.  On Fridays from 4-6pm, RootDown's culinary and nutrition ed teams join with 10-20 kids to learn about healthy food, harvest from the Alba garden, and learn how to make veggies taste better!  Please contact us if you'd like to join a class to learn more about what we do.  Some Fridays the class does not meet.
